Coastal Building Maintenance was founded in 1954 by my grandfather, Raymond Sullivan, as a small floor care company. My father, Ray, and his brother, Mike, joined him to expand and diversify their business. In 1973, my father moved to South Florida as the company began to open offices in various cities around the country. In addition to janitorial services, the company quickly became an industry leader in contract management and providing floor care programs for major retail chains throughout the United States.

In 1996, we decided to spin-off Coastal Building Maintenance of Florida to focus on serving the needs of the South Florida market. We pride ourselves on being a local, privately owned corporation that provides full-service janitorial programs for any size client in Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties. Today, CBM employs over 600 employees and continues to emphasize quality, communication and supervision to give our customers the comfort of knowing we are always there for them.

CBM believes active participation in industry associations allows us to continually evaluate new practices and state of the art technology within the industry. We are active in the following professional affiliations: Community Association of Management Professionals, (CAMP), Building Owners and Management Professionals, (BOMA), Building Service Contractors Association International, (BSCAI), and Marble Institute of America (MIA).
